TORONTO, ON—Canada is facing the most significant changes to its federal and provincial privacy laws in decades.
This will be the theme of CMAprivacy from the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA)’s Morning Event Series, Canada’s premier annual event for marketers on breaking privacy developments, which is taking place virtually on Tuesday October 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET.
Top government and privacy experts, including Daniel Therrien, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, will discuss current and future privacy developments, and what they mean for marketers looking to embrace the benefits of data while maintaining consumer trust.

The CMA reports that B.C., Quebec, and Ontario have recently been wrapping up consultations to create or reform their own provincial privacy frameworks. It has submitted briefs to these governments.
