The Canadian Association of Marketing Professionals announced today the launch of its inaugural awards program, which celebrate individual marketing achievements in the Canadian marketing community.

The awards include ten categories covering a broad range of marketing focus. In addition to specific marketing categories in the Brand, Digital, Experiential, Integrated, and Traditional Marketing Channels, there are also Marketer of the Year in the worlds of Corporate, SMEs, Entrepreneurial, Government/Not for Profits, and Student categories.

“At CAMP, we are helping build the profession one remarkable story at a time,” stated Suresh Parmachand, CEO/Creative Director of the Mississauga based Stratovate and Chair of CAMP’s Awards Committee. “We attract the best and the brightest, so it is only natural to showcase those individuals that go above and beyond in representing the profession.”

CAMP’s Marketing Award nominations open on May 15th and runs until June 30th. Semi-finalists will be announced in the summer months, and evaluated by a jury of top marketing executives and business leaders in the Canadian landscape. The ultimate winners will be crowned during CAMP’s first ever Awards Gala evening, scheduled for October of this year.

“When we began CAMP, our goal was to focus our efforts on the marketer – who primarily is looking to grow their career and/or business and build a community. Our Marketing Awards will enrich this, adding the opportunity to become an Award Winning Marketer to their portfolio,” commented Nadine Evans, CEO of the Canadian Association of Marketing Professionals.
